History & Notes:

Growing up in Nebraska wasn't easy for Monica. As a small child she grew

bored very easily, and by the time she was in high school, was hanging out with

the rowdiest of crowds. She knew that she had to leave, and devised a plan to

help her achieve her goals. Monica was a very smart girl, but lacked the patience

to be really studious. This would have cost her any hope for college, if she hadn't

decided to steal another student's chance and wound up attending UCLA. Uncertain

of what her major should be, she lived her college life second by second. She

eventually decided that she didn't want to work for a living, but didn't want to

be a gold-digger either. Her opportunity finally arrived when a classmate of hers

was spewing off scientific information about the incident that turned a harbor

patrol lieutenant into the super hero Captain Marvel. She saw the possibilities

of having those powers and decided to befriend the geek. She then studied

everything she needed to know to re-create the incident as accurately as

possible. With the help of her fellow classmate, she succeeded and became the

super-thief known as Strobe. Since then, she has mostly operated as a jewelry

thief, trying not to draw too much attention to herself.
